45 minute inquiry.

Curling is a sport that is consisting of 4 players. Each player has a specific role. There is the two sweepers who use brooms to increase the speed of the curling stone. The curler who can make a path and slowly turn the curling stone. And the pusher who push the curling stone across the surface of the ice. The ice is called the curling sheet.

The aim of this game is to get as much points as you possibly can. To get these points you need to get the curling stone as close as you can to the middle of the house. The house is a big target with a number of layers. Each layer has a different amount of points the closer to the middle of the house you get, the more points you get.

When you are playing this game you are going head to head with another rival team. Each team takes turn pushing the curling stone until the end comes. The end is after each team has finished pushing their 8 curling stones. There are 8 to 10 ends in a game.

Curling isn't as easy as it looks though. It takes a lot of stratergising and team work to conquer this game and a lot of skill. In this game you have to get used to the weight of the curling stone (which is mad of granite) and the friction of the ice. It is not the most physical game but it could be tiring.

Curling has been around since the 15 hundreds but it has definitely stepped up since then. Today we use the brooms and a much more modern arena. In the old days they didn't even use a broom.
